Yes, a Shanghai business trip can support a custom suit when there is room for two core appointments: about 1-2 hours for the first consultation, measurements and cloth, followed by 45-60 minutes for a fitting. If a local final try-on is part of the plan, allow about 30 minutes for it. Otherwise, agree on hotel handoff or shipping before production. Match the fitting location to the meeting geography

For a week based around West Nanjing Road, protect one South Bund visit and ask whether a later hotel fitting is suitable. For Lujiazui or SNIEC, staying in Pudong may still be the correct business decision; place South Bund in a distinct block instead of trying to cross the city between sessions.

A fitting held immediately before departure can identify a problem without leaving a practical way to correct it.

Where possible, place the final in-person try-on at least one workable block before the airport journey.
